Born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Willie has played professionally in Chicago since 1975. A graduate of Northeastern University under Dr. Ronald Combs in Vocalism Music performance, he has made audiences dance non-stop ever since.

William enjoys Latin tropical rhythms and specializes in Salsa, Mambo, Latin Jazz Merengue & Cha Cha Cha. The band arrangements include original songs, and the music of Hector Lavoe, Ismael Miranda, Cortijo, Ismael Rivera, Ray Barreto and Eddie Palmieri just to name a few.

He has being honored to open for and play alongside some of Latin music greats such as Celia Cruz, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Willie Rosario, Willie Colon & Hector Lavoe, Jimmy Bosch, Bobby Valentin, Cano Estremera & Eddie Palmieri.

His band can be go from a 12 piece Salsa & Mambo Band to a 4 piece Latin Jazz quartet. Willie can entertain a full party to provide quality music to your cocktail or dinner reception.

Willie has been invited to performed in such venues as Museum of Contemporary Art, Navy Pier Beer Garden, Aragon Ballroom, Excalibur Nightclub, The Cubby Bear, Carnivale Restaurant, Pete Miller's Steakhouse, Zaphire Nightclub, La Concha, Latin Village, The Hot House, Hotel Baker, Arlington Racetrack & Green Dolphin St, among many others.

Some events that have invited him to perform include Chicago Salsa Festival 2007, Chicago SummerDance 07 & 08, Fiesta in The Park 2003, 04, 05 & 06, Viva Chicago Latin Music Festival, Aurora Puerto Rican Festival 2008 & WDCB’s Eclectic Jazz Picnic 05 & 06, and coutless weddings, Cocktails & corporate events..

William Gomez has toured outside of Chicago several times and performed in Duluth, IA, Madison WI, and a tour of Puerto Rico in 1981 including the cities of Cabo Rojo, Ponce, Caguas & San Juan.
