Dance contest semi-finals take place at 10:30p during the band's intermission.

Trophies will also be awarded for all winning couples.

"Amateur" anyone who has not been compensated for performing or instructing Latin dancing whether it be by himself/herself or as a member of a dance company or dance studio.

Dancers who have placed in 1st place in 2 Amateur Salsa dance contest or have placed in the top 3 in 1 Open Salsa dance contest in the past 12 months are also NOT elegible.

Expect to dance… SALSA, SALSA y mas SALSA. NO choreographies necessary! just lead and follow and put on a show.

Finals will be judged by a panel of judges. "Audience" will be 1 judge.

Dancers have to go to the finals with the partner they qualified with. If couples loose a partner in the process, you have to qualify again with a different partner.

Dancers may try to qualify several times if necessary.
