| What Class to Take and When ... |
Class Listings
Our classes are listed as 1, 2, 3 or 4 which means there are different sections that run back to back. Different moves are taught in each one, so best to take them with no breaks in between! They automatically rotate so that you can develop your dancing in a smoother, easier and stronger way! Start at any number and continue until the series is complete. Instructors continually add moves and new routines into their series, so you will just get MORE moves by repeating any series. Code 1, 2, 3 or 4 = Series
CLUBS!
Classes that are also noted as a “CLUB” is a class that is VERY SOCIAL & will go out DANCING as a class at the end of the Session with their instructor! Each CLUB will be designed by each Instructor and will vary as to how they all work. Some will wear LSD designated T-Shirts when they go out, some will have cool “twists” to them! Some might decide to perform, some may never perform. No more worrying

“Option” to Performance Classes
They are highlighted on the class schedule. These are normal classes
of the curriculum, yet the Instructor will have a mini choreography
ready for you to learn to practice your Memory! Styling! & Retention of
the material. There is an option to perform at the next studio social as a
class if you want to try some NEW FUN!

This class covers fundamental Cross Body Leads & In & Outs, very
important movements in salsa dancing. Can also be taken at the same time as your 1st Kick It. Each instructor may offer different styling and options.

Class focused on reviewing all the moves up to this level, addressing
Timing, technique, posture, weight shift, styling, connection and
social dance application of. Preparation class for monthly Social
Dance Workshops held at the studio!

Team Dancing danced in a circular pattern. Roots are from casino
dancing in Cuba and then to Miami! Each Session, you will learn moves that span levels 1 through 3. There are 100’s of calls recognized all over the world you can learn. You can take the class 4 months in the row and still be learning new moves. After 4 months, if you have forgotten the material from the 1st month you can start all over again. Must have completed at least 1 Cross Body Leads Section.

Intermediate footwork class runs in a series of 2 different themes…

to learn all the moves.
Highly recommended to take them consecutively and not to miss one, as to not “Kick” yourself out of sequence!

official counting and shines class. More advanced classes will use
Counts and you need to be READY!
Experience the fun of
good footwork and “shines” on the dance floor! Add some
men’s & ladies’ styling to your new moves! Review all the floor
patterns you know so far. A way to connect your personality with
the music you hear. Express yourself with advanced timing skills.
The focus is advance footwork patterns and free-styling.
At least
1 Section must be completed before entering Adv CBL. Take as
often as you like. Moves change month to month.

around this time. Explains the “counts” of dancing “On 1” vs “On 2”.
How to tell the difference & how to stay on 1 timing vs the other.
Excellent class to continue taking until you really “hear” the difference.

Complete Kick It Klass 1– Spins Section to enter. Opens up a
whole new dimension of understanding timing, body movement,
posture, frame, center of balance, spotting, what’s your core? and
learning to be lighter on your FEET!
Overall great class to help you
dance better! Combination of turn/spin patterns, technique and good
DIPS to end your next song!
Has to be taken at least one time
before entering the Let’s Start Turning Heads Series.

to enter. Precision themes and Kick It themes do not overlap the
same moves in the same session! Master the steps you have
learned until now. Move faster, Lead better, Follow phenomenally

Bachatango: It’s elegant and STEAMY! Fusion of hot bachata steps and

Independent urban street dance popular for its high energy movements
and great dance workout! Many of Hip Hop’s movements are used in
every day popular dance videos. Open to all levels. This heart pumping
class will keep you "moving and grooving." Classes may introduce both
off and on the floor movements! Work on core and strength. Class can
introduce the dancer to hip-hop dance choreography, isolations, freezes,
and developing personal style.
Attire: Dancers should wear comfortable clothing that allows for large movement (jazz pants, sweat pants, tank tops, leotards). Clean NO MARKING tennis shoes or jazz sneakers may be worn. No dangling jewelry.

Level A – Around Brazil in 90 Days (1,2,3)
Introduction to various genres of Brazilian music in a lively, inviting atmosphere. All will be broken down and taught at your speed. No experience or partner necessary, this includes you, fellas!
1. Beginner’s Batucada – Intro to Carnaval-style samba no pé from Rio de Janeiro. Compiles the basic samba step, transitions, technique & styling into short sequences that are fun & easy-to-follow, allowing you to reach in & channel your inner Brazilian diva!
2. Bahia Beats Intro – Learn the roots of some of Brazil’s most popular dance music with energetic classic choreographies that are still guaranteed to get people on their feet and shake it!
3. Amazonian Rhythms – Explore the popular dances of the caboclo culture of the Amazon through indigenous-inspired dances featuring movements that are powerful, athletic, and graceful. Come dressed in your most comfortable clothing and prepared to sweat!
Level B - Bahia Beats (1,2,3)
Focus on the various rhythms of Bahia, the center of Afro-Brazilian culture, with the genres of sambareggae, axê, and samba de roda. This is a great follow-up for those who have finished all 3 of the Level A classes for a chance to expand their horizons!
1. Afro Brasil – a sound popularized by the band Olodum. There will be lots of swinging, swaying, and shaking going on to the hard-hitting rhythms of sambareggae, a revolutionary sound that represents the African heartbeat of Bahia with a style that is earthy, yet sexy!
2. Axê -this genre is the love child of sambareggae and the Electric Slide! We will be grooving to the sounds of this ever-changing, but always fun style with a series of choreographies that can range from borderline silly to smokin’ hot!
3. Samba de Roda – learn about the humble beginnings of the samba style that gave birth to the glamour of Carnaval. We will be dancing in a circle (roda in Portuguese) in this communal samba party and learning about other styles, such as jongo, which pre-date samba. The roda is your time to show everybody what you’ve got, and feel free to pull a partner in with you!

Evals are only done for our Salsa Curriculum!
Evals are $15. By registering for a private lesson or a group class on the same day as your eval, we will apply $5 back towards your private lesson or group class!
Evals need to be scheduled in advance by calling the studio direct. Our instructors have a small break from 7p - 7:10p so they can start their next class at 7:15p. It is very important to be ready to go at this time. Please check in at the front desk by 6:45pm so you are not rushed. |

Make-Up Program |
|
When you know you cannot make one of your regularly scheduled classes and you give us 24 hours notice or more, we will gladly schedule you for a Make-Up class another time, in that same session. Yet another GREAT PLUS for our registered students! All Make-Ups are arranged for you at the front desk or by calling the studio.
Any Make-Ups must be taken within the same session of registration and do not “roll over” to another session. If for some reason you can’t make a class and call the day of, do not show, or call after the class is over, we are sorry but we cannot offer you a Make-Up. You can still check to see what is available for Fill-Ins! |

| Only leather, suede, plastic, or foam shoe bottoms permitted on our Canadian oak wood dance floors! Rubber will destroy your knees over time and will leave a difficult film hard to clean on our Fun! Fun! Floors! Feel free to see any of our shoes on display. Sorry, but strapless shoes are a no no because they can slip off, hurt your toes or become flying objects! Bare feet are never safe and cannot be honored, sorry! Certain classes will honor an exception like hip hop, belly dancing, or specialty classes. You can always ask! |
| Have a shoe emergency? We have special salsa socks for you to slip and slide in for $2.00! They are yours to keep and can be purchased at the front desk! |

| Sorry, but they cannot attend your class. If you have little ones with you, please make sure you bring a friend to stay with them in the lobby and not left unattended. Our staff is easily distracted and cannot keep an eye on them for you. But remember, we do offer classes for the little ones! |
