Contemporary Salsa & Merengue Orchestra lead by Angel Melendez

Together with Lina Marie Perez & Lisa Pellegrinetti, the band makes crowds jump and dance to the modern rhythms of Latin Music.  The perform SALSA, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha & Boleros to original arrangements by Angel Melendez and also the music of India, Brenda K.Starr, Celia Cruz, Melina Leon & Olga Tañon.

Angel Melendez & Sus Orquestas

Composer, Arranger, Producer, instructor and Trombonist.  After witnessing a performance by his cousin Carlos Rexach with orquesta “La Solucion”, Angel decided to pursue his musical career.  One of the top musicians in Chicago, he leads many Latin bands in Chicago. Angel has been the musical director and arranger for some of the most world reknown Salsa artists including Andy Montañez, Ismael Miranda, Adalberto Santiago, Cheo Feliciano, Frankie Ruiz, Eddie Santiago, Lalo Rodriguez, Hector Tricoche & Johnny Rivera among others.  Angel Melendez & his orquestras have performed in most of the top venues in the City of Chicago including The Chicago Symphony Center, The House of Blues, The Taste of Chicago, Chicago Summerdance Program, Viva Chicago, Fiestas Boricuas, Tribune’s Rock the River Fest, most of the local dance clubs and many private corporate programs.
